Fiberglass and Natural Fiber Sheet Thermoforming Machine, This machine performs thermoforming of composite sheets made of fiberglass or natural fibers (NFPP, hemp, kenaf, jute, etc.).
The process is:
Sheet Heating
The fiberglass or natural‑fiber composite sheet is heated until it reaches its thermoforming temperature (typically 160–220 °C depending on resin content).
Transfer to Mold
The softened sheet is transferred into a heated forming mold using a shuttle, robot arm, or manual loading.
Forming / Pressing
The mold closes and applies pressure, shaping the sheet into the final geometry.
This step defines:
thickness distribution
surface finish
structural stiffness
Cooling & Stabilization The part cools inside the mold until it becomes dimensionally stable.
Demolding The formed composite part is removed and sent to trimming, machining, or assembly.
Industrial use: automotive interior panels, trunk liners, door panels, semi‑structural composite parts.
NFPP + Azdel Forming / Back Injection Process
This is a hybrid manufacturing process combining thermoforming of composite sheets (NFPP or Azdel) with back‑injection molding of thermoplastic resin.
Process Steps
Sheet Preheating
NFPP or Azdel sheet is heated to thermoforming temperature.
Thermoforming
The sheet is placed in a forming mold and shaped into the desired geometry.
Transfer to Injection Mold
The pre‑formed sheet is moved into an injection mold (or the forming mold itself has an integrated injection station).
Back Injection (Structural Reinforcement)
Molten polypropylene (or another polymer) is injected behind the formed sheet.
This creates:
ribs
bosses
mounting points
structural reinforcements
complex geometries that cannot be thermoformed alone
Cooling & Demolding
The hybrid part (composite + injected polymer) is cooled and removed.
Industrial use:
Door panels, load floors, trunk trim, interior modules, semi‑structural automotive components.
